Celebrate Mother Nature at Summer Solstice
The Central Ohio pagan community will hold its annual summer solstice ceremony June 17 in Bicentennial Park at 8:30 pm.
"Summer solstice celebrates life and what we want to grow in our lives," Holly Featherstone, one of the ceremony's leaders said. Participants are encouraged to take to the event a leaf or other token of Mother Nature to give back in exchange for earth's blessings, Featherstone explained.
The solstice ceremony will feature a weather working ritual in which creative visualization and guided meditation will be used to create a circle of energy and a dome of protection over Goodale Park, Bicentennial Park and the Pride Parade route, Featherstone said.
The event is co-sponsored by Stonewall Union..
